Everyone in Rotterdam knows the Maasboulevard with its beautiful view over the river and the skyline of ‘Manhattan on the Maas’. Behind the Maasboulevard lies the Struisenburg neighbourhood. Around the Buizengat and Boerengat harbours, the district extends from the Oostplein to the Excelsior Football Club stadium. In the centre of the neighbourhood, several large old office buildings have recently been converted into homes for students and starters. On the west side of the neighbourhood around Oudedijk and Oostplein you will find many restaurants, bars and shops.
