This wealthy neighbourhood at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge is best known as the Scheepvaartkwartier (Maritime District). The neighbourhood is characterised by the large, stately, historic buildings. These are a nice contrast to the modern high-rise buildings on the east side of the neighbourhood. The romantic Veerhaven inner harbour is situated in the centre, next to the Van Vollenhovenstraat where many restaurants and amenities can be found. On the west side you’ll find the Park at the Euromast, Rotterdam’s most beautiful backyard!
