Rubroek lies just northeast of the city centre, adjacent to the City Triangle. Everything you need in the centre within walking distance and yet still a bit out of the way. Check out the Jonker Fransstraat and the Goudsesingel. Here you’ll find a variety of places from an excellent Italian to a specialist game butcher. Most of this district was in ruins after the bombing of May 14, 1940 and then rebuilt in the 1940s and 1950s.
