The avenues and canals in the Liskwartier follow the original locks that lay here. The approximately 7,000 inhabitants live in a child friendly environment with good educational facilities in the neighbourhood. Local residents organise much more for children under the Liskids flag. The Hofbogen viaduct and Bergsingelkerk church are two characteristic monuments.
