Hillegersberg-Zuid is better known as the Kleiwegkwartier. Most of the neighbourhood was built in the 1920s and 1930s but there are also historic houses from the 19th century on the east side. It is a lively city neighbourhood surrounded by nature: the Melanchton Park, the Bergse Voorplas and Achterplas lakes and the River Rotte. It is a very popular residential area partly due to the excellent connection to the city centre.
