Oud-Crooswijk is a lively city neighbourhood with a rich history located between the Kralingse Bos and the city centre. It’s situated where the slaughterhouse grounds and the Rotterdam Heineken Brewery used to be. Of the latter there are still a number of beautiful buildings to be seen on the Noordplein. Central to the residential area is the lively Crooswijkseweg with all the daily necessities. On the north side is the Schuttersveld sport centre. Here, for example, children get free baseball lessons from top baseball players on Wednesday afternoons in the summer.
